It was such an honor and a privilege to get to take photos of Meredith and Ravi’s wedding day. Meredith and I have known each other for 14 years and she is my “roomie” from college and holds a special place in my heart. She is a wonderful lady with what seems to be a never-ending heart for the earth, people and God. She has done missionary work in Mongolia and is continuously working to make herself less to allow God to be more in her life. I am so excited she has found her match in Ravi who seems to be the perfect fit for who she is and will be.
Their wedding was absolutely beautiful in so many ways. They both seemed to be focused on the fact that this was more than a wedding day but rather a start to their marriage. Meredith was the least fussy bride I have ever seen. When I asked if she had shoes I should photograph, she laughed saying they were from a high school formal and definitely didn’t need to be in the photos! She even requested that people not rise for her when she entered the ceremony.
They elected to do a first look and see each other before the wedding allowing them to have time together away from everyone before the craziness of the day began. The ceremony was lovely and many eyes were teary when the couple chose to wash each other’s feet as part of their vows to love each other with humble and Christ like love.
After they ceremony was refreshments followed later by a reception. The reception had folk dancing by a guitar and violin which was amazing. Almost everyone got up and danced and laughter filled the room. Both families were lovely and each time one dance forced them to switch partners again and again each time the room would fill with a happy “hi!” coming from each set of partners greeting each other with the same excitement as the partner before. There was music, eating, dancing, drinking, laughter, tea, cake but most of all love!
Thank you Meredith and Ravi for allowing us to be part of your wonderful day! I look forward to seeing the beautiful marriage that is sure to follow.
